General Information

We will meet you on arrival at the Airport or deliver and collect anywhere within a 30km radius of Cape Town between 0700 and 2200 hours, free of charge. A delivery fee will be charged outside these parameters.

All drivers must be over 23 years of age and be able to produce at the time the contract is signed, a current unendorsed drivers license that they have held for not less than 2 years. All foreign drivers will require an International Drivers Licence.

Payment by non-account customers may only be made by credit card. The hirer's credit card details are required prior to delivery of the vehicle.

The minimum rental period is 24 hours.

You are welcome to extend your rental, subject to availability. Notice of extension of rental must be received prior to the termination of the current agreement. A vehicle driven after the contract period would be without insurance and could be reported stolen.

The distance travelled is calculated from depot to depot.

Vehicles leave our depot with a full tank of fuel and the hirer pays for refuelling on their return to the depot.

All vehicles are hired subject to our Standard Rental Conditions and these are subject to change without notice.

Useful Information

By law, drivers licences must be carried at all times and produced on request.

The 'old' South African drivers licence in the Identity Document is no longer valid in South Africa.

Some Service Stations do not accept Credit Cards (Visa, Master, Diners etc.) in payment for fuel; therefore it is advisable to carry a debit card or some cash with you especially in the smaller country towns.

If you are planning to visit Cape Town during peak season (December - April) it is advisable to book a vehicle well in advance.

VAT is refundable on all purchases made by overseas visitors. This can be claimed at the airport on departure, or at the VAT Refund Office at the Waterfront. Unfortunately it cannot be claimed on car hire or other services, only on goods that are taken out of the country.

If you wish to settle your account in cash at the end of your rental, this has to be done in the office during office hours.

If you wish to drop the car at the airport when you depart, please advise us of this and let us know the time you will be leaving the car at the airport.

We have a small Tourist Information desk in our office in Sea Point and clients are welcome to call in and help themselves to brochures and maps etc.
